The ceremony will be held at Manchester Town Hall on 23rd August 2014 at 4:30pm.
The Conference Hall, Manchester Town Hall
The entrance from Lloyd Street is closest to the ceremony room and has step-free access.
We are sharing the weekend with the Manchester Pride festival. It will be very busy, so we strongly recommend booking hotels well in advance and leaving yourself extra time on the day to cope with the crowds, particularly if you are passing through the Canal Street area or crossing the parade route.
The wedding breakfast and evening reception are also taking place at Manchester Town Hall so you will be able to relax and have a glass of bubbly immediately after the ceremony!
The evening festivities will begin around 8pm and the town hall will be serving last orders at 1am.
There is limited parking within the city centre, and spaces are likely to be harder to come by due to the festival. We therefore recommend travelling by public transport or walking where possible: please see the town hall website for full details.
If you are driving we recommend pre-booking one of the following nearby carparks:
If you are planning to take a taxi, please consider the parade route as journeys will likely take longer significantly longer than usual.
Manchester is an amazing and vibrant city with plenty of choice for places to stay.
Again we recommend booking hotels early if you can due to the festival!
If any of these are fully booked, please let us know so that we can remove them from this list.
There is a taxi rank in front of Albert Square to help you into cabs home.
It's Manchester Pride on the 23rd of August! The parade passes our venue, which is in Albert Square. It starts at 1pm and should have wrapped up by the time of our ceremony at 4:30pm. If you're travelling around much before then, do take into consideration the route of the parade as it may not be possible to get from one side to the other very quickly without some planning.
If you arrive early, it's something interesting to do!

Lots of people have asked us and our parents about a gift list. The greatest gift we could ask for is to celebrate with our friends and family on our wedding day. Please do not feel obliged to buy us a gift.
As we have lived together for some time and have accumulated many of the staples of a wedding list, we would like to encourage people to donate to the British Heart Foundation. We have set up a fund in the name of Ona's late father, Peter Sumner.
If you would like to give us a physical token, there is a gift list with Debenhams which will open on the 27th June, which has the number 428421 and can be found through debenhamsweddings.com.
